Friends of the Lille metropolis, you’ve no doubt already come across a funny, colorful light bulb head on the facade of a house slated for demolition, or a twisted, wiry animal sprawling across the condemned windows of a deserted building, or a motley aggregate of heads set one inside the other covering an entire section of a disused factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These bursts of color in the greyness are part of the work of Lem<\/strong>, a visual artist from Roubaix.\nHe is particularly fond of the memorial aspect of these large disused industrial sites, to which he adds his graphic and poetic touch. <\/p>\n\n

Lem extends and perpetuates this work in a wide range of media, from paintings and sculptures<\/a> to illustrated books<\/a> and textiles.<\/p>\n
