How do you make an temporary tattoo last as long as possible?
Even if our temporary tattoos don’t last forever, we’ve got a few tips to make sure they stick to you for as long as possible.
1- Proper application is key
To ensure that your temporary tattoos are properly applied, you need to prepare your skin. After washing it with a non-greasy soap and drying it well, you can apply the decal.
A damp sponge is all you need to apply the tattoo. In fact, Bernard has his own sponge. It’s free with every purchase of €15 or more on our site, so don’t hesitate to take a look at our temporary tattoos catalog!
2 – Good positioning to make it last longer
We don’t recommend placing temporary tattoos on damp or hairy areas of the body. You should also avoid areas exposed to friction, as this may cause them to fade more quickly. Thighs, shins and arms are the ideal places to place your temporary tattoo.
3 – Avoid Bernard’s enemies
Bernard doesn’t like to be tickled. We don’t recommend scratching your tattoos to avoid removing the ink.
Avoid greasy products such as creams, oils or moisturizing soaps. To keep your temporary tattoo in place for as long as possible, we recommend applying a spray bandage over it.
4- What about cryonics?
Apparently, cryonics significantly increases tattoo durability. However, we lack the clinical feedback to confirm this.
With all these tips, your tattoo should last you between 3 and 7 days. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and we’ll have to say goodbye to Bernard one day… Don’t worry, if you miss him too much, you’ll find him on our website.
