Gumo
The triad of cubism, futurism and brutalism through art
Nicolas Gumo, better known by his artist name “Ugly Kid Gumo“, is a famous tattoo artist based in Paris. Having been immersed in rap, fashion and theatre for a long time, he draws inspiration from this artistic culture to practice his passion: tattooing. The common thread of all his creations is based on the theme of the suburbs. He draws inspiration from its codes as well as its clichรฉs to bring his art to life. An accomplished and recognized artist, Gumo is passionate about expressing himself through different fields: graffiti, tattooing, painting, illustrations and drawing. His style borrows from codes that are both cubist, futuristic and that he would also describe as brutalist. Carrying strong messages, his art undeniably gives meaning in all respects.
